Desks for Escola Reom
Help us provide 70 new desks for Casa Reom's growing school called Escola Reom. You can donate as an individual or get together with others in your schools, church or workplace to “buy a desk” or several desks.
Escola Reom is a community primary school near Beira in Mozambique with 713 students (362 girls and 351 boys in 16 classes and 6 year groups). Mozambique is one of the top 3 poorest countries in the world, and families cannot afford to contribute to the costs of running the schools.
Every classroom at Escola Reom needs to have 31 (2-seater) desks and there are currently 6 classrooms. We need 70 new desks to ensure that there is the right amount of capacity for the children to sit in comfort.
To address this, we plan to buy 70 new desks. Each desk costs around £50, so we are hoping to raise £3,500 before the end of December 2025.

The desks will be bought locally in Mozambique. A carpenter will prepare them, and they consist of welded metal tubes and wooden surfaces for sitting and writing.
In the event that we raise more than £3,500 for this appeal, any excess funds will be spent according to the most important needs as determined by the Trustees.
